Group therapy is very effective in many aspects, not only in questions that have to do with communication and relationships. Having other participants there with you helps you feel supported and realize that maybe other people have experienced something similar to what you are going through. In a group you can experiment and try out just being yourself, receiving feedback and at the same time helping others to grow.
Groups usually consist of people who are not acquainted with each other, and imply strict confidentiality that permits the participants to express themselves freely without worrying about damage to their life and relationships.
