Psychological counselling and psychotherapy
Individual counselling and psychotherapy are the most common ways of working with a psychologist. Usually the meetings happen once a week, preferably at the same time each week. Each session is 1 hour long. The session takes place in a comfortable office in the center of Barcelona. The first one or two meetings are dedicated to getting to know each other, outlining the existing difficulty or question, setting tasks and drawing up an initial plan for our work. Depending of the situation and the specific needs of each person the whole process may be short-term (8-10 encounters) or long-term (up to several years). The decision on how long the therapy should last is always primarily yours.
Individual therapy usually starts with a conversation and in some cases includes movement and body techniques. I also offer dance/movement therapy as a separate method.
